Version 8.9

• Closed Thread owners can now allow users to request to join the closed thread (via the new thread page or the thread settings page). When a thread allows applicants it will appear in the thread lists, and when clicked on will show an introductory text and allow the user to sign up. Board mail will be used to notify all thread owners of an applicant and buttons in the board mail can be used to allow or deny the user.
• Tradesignal Online Mobile Web App is now officially released
• Users can now post charts to the clipboard directly from the toolbox sidebar using the context menu, so they no longer need to show the chart first.

Version 8.0

This overview introduces the new features and categories of the new Tradesignal Online 8.0:

General changes

• Completely revamped design and colour scheme.
• Smaller menu bar
• Under “Infopedia” you will now find “News“, “Analysesˮ and “Lexicon”.
• Dynamic page adjustment (except on the main page) for better viewing on widescreen monitors.
• Two new main categories: Open discussions and a tag cloud with the most popular securities.

Changes in the categories Securities Search and Securities Lists

• The search result will remain in the sidebar when you switch categories within the portal.
• Even more advanced search filter options in the sidebar.
• Bookmarking and composing of a favourites list by clicking the star symbols in the symbol lists.
• Knockouts, Members, Certificates and Options can be accessed with only one click in the indices list.
• The slider can now be used to filter Knockouts.
• Special features for certificates: Drag knockout stop lines into the chart with only one click.
• Change from double-line rate presentation of the price to single-line presentation in a symbol list on the sidebar. There is a choice of three presentation methods: display the price, display the change in percent, and display the absolute change.
• The chart can be opened directly in a new window without browser navigation by means of a symbol list in the context menu for a particular value.

Changes in the category Chart Management

• No more fixed folder structure: charts can now be labelled (tags) and thus filed in several directories.
• Indicators and trading strategies can be tagged as well.
• Using the Drag & Drop feature, charts can be resorted in the chart overview.
• A user’s charts can also be displayed as prices using “Display”, and the size of the display can also be defined.
• Charts can also be sorted following changes in a chart’s prices.
• A chart overview can be created from the symbol lists. Here, too, it is also possible to sort the individual charts after price changes and to change the size of the display.
• View individual charts in the overview in five font sizes (extra small to extra large).
• In the tag overview, charts can be edited via the fixed context menu which comes up by clicking on the green arrow next to the chart title.
• For tagging the chart you can also use an icon in the editor menu right above the chart window.

Changes in the category Charting Window

• Charts can now be opened in a new window, allowing you to view and edit several charts on the full screen.
• The toolbar is now to the left of the charting window; clicking on the green arrow in the bar moves it above the charting window.
• Details about the current security are now in a price information window underneath the chart.
• For a better overview you can now hide the price information window, the chart properties and the sidebar.
• The code editor in the trading strategy has been provided with a syntax highlight.

New sidebars and their features

• The new site navigation (sidebar) enables you to directly access the symbol lists, i.e. the security category with its subcategories shares, indices, commodities, and ETFs.
• In the second index level of the sidebar you will now see all available news, analyses and forum posts. Access them by clicking on them.
• On the upper index level, the new sidebar on the left in the charting area provides direct access to indicators and trading strategies.

• New: Timezone support: Users can now set a timezone in their user profile. This setting will be used whenever a date or time is displayed to show the time adjusted for the users timezone. This is of special importance in the chart control where intraday charts for non-CET instruments can now be shown starting at the correct time according to the timezone.
• New: Search box plugin: Any browsers that have a search box to the right of the address bar will now have an option to add tradesignal online to the available searches. When selected, entering a security name, ticker, ISIN or WKN will open tradesignal web edition with that security, or show available securities if there are multiple matches.
• New: Firefox toolbar: Installing the new tradesignal web edition extension for Firefox will now also make available a new toolbar that provides a search to quickly open tradesignal web edition. The toolbar also indicates if you have new messages or that there are changes to your boardmail favorites. You must enter your username an password in the extension options for the message checking to be active. You can hide this toolbar by right-clicking on it and deselecting tradesignal online toolbar.
• Fixed: In Firefox 3, Colored text will be shifted left by some pixels revealing a shadow when tabs are used at the start of the line.
• Fixed: Links of performance report use always english as language.
• Fixed: Cannot whisper, kick or unkick usernames containing a dot.
• Fixed: The 'select all messages' checkbox in the message center only selects the first message in Opera.

My charts (formally Gallery)

• All charts in a folder are now displayed on one page, all you need to do is scroll
• There are multiple layout modes for a chart ranging from huge, to a new list view
• A new instant filter allows you to type the name of the chart you are seeking and have instant filtering of the shown charts to occur
• The contents of a folder can be sorted by name, modification date or in a user-defined mannor. Dragging a dropping a chart makes for simple repositioning
• External image links, and notes are still fully supported
• Newly saved charts will have the option of displaying the current prices for the contained security

Watchlists

• The old watchlists have been completely replaced by a new mechanism. Build you watchlists as you navigate the site by selecting instruments, then headover to the watchlist section of My Charts to see the quotes. Or change the layout to small charts, to see your watchlist as charts.
• Change your template to update the charts displayed in watchlists.

Interactive tradesignal charts

• Charting works in IE6, IE7 and Firefox 2. Operating systems supported: 98, ME, NT4, 2k, XP, Vista
• Send charts by email
• Print charts directly, in color/black and white, landscape or portrait
• Save charts as images
• Add custom indicators (or use one of over 170 built-in indicators)
• Add custom trading strategies (or use one of over 300 built-in strategies) and see a trading performance report
• See trading, indicator or tool alerts pop-up as they occur and keep track of the in the alert manager
• Track useful information in the output window (essential for strategy developers!)
• Use custom periods, anything from 1 minute upwards (only for subscribers of the member service)
• Navigate through symbol lists and draw tools as you go, they will now be remembered by the chart
• Charts can be published to the forum and chat

Write your own indicators and trading strategies

• Right-click on an indicator, strategy or function in the toolbox of tradesignal web edition to see the Equilla source code, which you can then modify and save
• Equilla scripts are syntax highlighted and the editor support search and replace and goto line
• When you save your script is verified and any errors shown to you
• Scripts can be published to the forum and chat, all dependent functions will automatically be included
• The editor allows multiple scripts to be open simultaneously and can be temporarily hidden to allow the chart to be seen more easily
• Changes made to an indicator used in a chart will be automatically applied.

Collaboration

• In a chart, in my charts or in the Equilla editor, select the option Collaboration, to share this chart/script with other users
• A shared item will appear as a boardmail invitation that, once accepted, will appear like a normal chart/script in their my charts folder
• Shared items can be read only or read/write at the discretion of the items owner
• The owner can remove users from the collaboration as they like
• If a collaborator modifies a chart whilst other users have that chart open, all users will recieve a notification that will allow them to update their open chart.
